IS THERE NO COMMON SENSE AT CCBC?

5 shop windows broken in Seaview Road, the same thing last year and the year before that in Abergele Road, the shopkeepers have a never ending battle with drunks, yobs and total idiots yet we, the Council, take away the right for them to defend themselves.
They are not allowed to install shutters because they are in a conservation area; what a load of bollocks, this is Colwyn Bay, Councillor Chris Hughes is on record as having said “Colwyn Bay is dead as far as tourism is concerned” Referred to by one Councillor as being like Beirut and another said it was occupied by the Benefit under classes; is this what we are conserving?
When are the Council going to see sense and do something to help these shopkeepers, they are quick enough to demand Business rates from them and bankrupt them if they cannot pay, they have turned Station Road into a bland, featureless expanse of grey, they are soon to do the same to Penrhyn Road, if anything they are the biggest vandals and idiots we have.
Common sense should dictate what is required not some bureaucratic title shoved on us by people with less sense than a plank, it is the shopkeepers who have to front up the cash when this happens not them and not the Council, they know what they need to protect their businesses, for God’s sake give it to them and stop hiding behind poxy red-tape.

I believe in some parts of the world they have things called "Police Officers" ~ people who catch criminals and enforce the law. Perhaps here in North Wales if we didn't have so many tax collectors sitting by the side of the road with speed cameras, we could afford to have some of these mystical crime fighting "Police Officers" to do something about all the criminals who make people's lives a misery on a daily basis?

Nice to see a councillor say it the way it is even if it the language is a bit colloquial, rather that than the lies and cover-ups we get now.
You will do for me John.

Steve Hunt,
LOL!

Truth Teller,
We live in a dangerous world, anyone can be a victim, I choose not to be but I have only ever used violence as a last resort to protect me or mine and I never entered a fight wanting to come second.
Your accusations in regards to the BNP are wrong but if you are of that mind then there is nothing that I can say here that would change your mind so I wont bother trying.
I print most comments sent to me if they are on topic and printable. I realise there are those who will never come around to my way of thinking but that is no reason for me not to print their comments.

By your own admission you are a racist thug .......

I SAY You are a big girls blouse, who has problem's forming normal relationship's and badly need's normal company. Try getting a life, with a visit to the cats home an old Tom's friendship might help you to stop with the silly name calling. We know it is a lonely souls attempt to gain attention - A cry for help. Please dont go and swing from the end of the Pier. As I am reliably informed that it is only Thomas's that have nine lives.....

Hi Johnny just catching up reading your bloggie. I just love it when you talk tough, straight from the hips putting that dreadful Truth Teller in his place. Jealousy knows no bounds and manifests itself with abusive comments, letters and even phone calls. I know from first hand experience, being in the adult entertainment business these last 15 years. I can imagine Truth Teller making silent phone calls in the middle of the night to little old lady's, the sort of rasping heavy breathing type which is best ignored. The trade is full of these wierdos.
