I DON’T!
I believe we are over represented by, in some cases, those on the gravy-train. If County Councillors were honest with themselves they too would be able to see it from the public’s point of view. There are Councillors who have told me other Councillors have said “I’m only here for the money” Well name and bloody shame them! Get rid of the useless pieces of shite and replace them with people who have an ounce of decency and care about their community; don’t go along with the old-boy network just because it’s the “done thing”... name them!
Hardly anyone has a good word to say about our Councillors probably because we don’t believe a word they say when they complain that they do a worthwhile job. They surround themselves in secrecy and a “need to know” policy in which, to some of them, knowledge is power. Get off your high horses, stop being full of piss and your own self-importance and start representing what the people want and not what Council Officers say they can have.
If we had less “yes-men” and more people prepared to argue for the rights of the public then I could understand their whinging, but we haven’t, they go along with a minority of Councillors who are “Council brained” and influence them with their leftie rhetoric. It is this minority that give all Councillors the reputations they have.
We actually do have some very good Councillors but they are bogged-down in the mire caused by these few bureaucratic career Councillors who believe “Democracy” is something that only they can decide upon.

I agree with Cllr Abdul Khan “It should be left well alone, it is working fine as it is now.”
I.Littler.
Wow you dont pull any punches on this one.
Anon 14.55,
If that were the case then why are so many dissatisfied with it?
Anon 15.25,
I think the time for “pulling punches” as long gone; we need openness and transparency from our Councillors, if they cannot police themselves then someone should. A minority of Councillors are giving them all a bad name, it is in their own interests to start the weeding-out process.
John Oddy says... A minority of Councillors are giving them all a bad name, it is in their own interests to start the weeding-out process.....I say are you having a snide dig at Cllr Abdul Khan.
Passing Wind.
Anon 15.50,
I am not having a “snide dig” at anybody, I am pointing out a fact that there are Councillors on our Council who do not deserve to be there and that they tarnish the reputation of all the Councillors.
Having read the link to the Dailypost it seems Mr Abdul Khan thinks all is well and is opposed to ward changes and better representation. What planet is this man on? How can anyone be against improved repersentation? I have not used my vote for some time but I shall now and it wont be for those who are out of touch. I have said before and many agree there is a dreadful sense of neglect and a 'I am all right jack attitude' by some.
I am grateful to Mr Oddy highlighting some of the problems we have, the ongoing issue of our pier and possible guzzumping amongst other damning reports by our council.

Abdul khan is a very good councillor as is witnessed many times. Hughes is the waste of space in our ward and we as residents will never support him again.

Here we go, tip toeing around, afraid to rock the boat or is it fear of upsetting Councillor Abdul Mukith Khan the Mayor. I remind you Abdul Khan has stated he sees no need for better representation and is against boundary changes to our wards. This is a step back we desperately need to move forward with or with out his blessing.
Ron.
Once you fought for your country you always fight for your country are you ?It cant be done hiding behind being an independent councillor, move your arse and fall in line.
Ex Soldier.
Reading through your blog I agree with alot of the comments, they seem to condem the main parties, but no one has noticed the white elephant in their living rooms. The real guilty party is Plaid Cymru, the bogus Party of Wales who have abandoned their Nationalist ideas, no doubt to accomodate the new members from overseas. Plaid Cymru are joined at the hip with Labour. David Copperfield would have been proud of this slight of hand, Plaid Cymru have sold Wales out and they will not be forgiven.
Mrs M. Lloyd-Jones
Plaid seem to be to thick to realise that their Labour colleagues are stitching them up good and proper on this one.
The Boundary changes will mean a vast reduction in Rural (aka Plaid) councillors.
On the QT,
Agree with you on that one; Plaid do well in the more rural areas.
Thank you Major Mervin for your timely dig at John.
