Oscar, the name he chooses to hide behind, decided that my comments on the bitch Chakarbarti were, questionable.
Oscar, personally I don’t give a monkey’s what you think, what I do object to is that, in the past you and I have spoken on our blog site issues, as friends. If you took umbrage at my comment, fine, I have no problem with that, but to be selective on which part you print, without the point being made is being one-sided. You and I have know each other for many years and you know my background as I know yours, were the boot on the other foot I would have contacted you prior to stabbing you in the back.

I have received an apology from the “Oscar” that I know regarding the comments on his blog, they were posted by another of those that call themselves Oscar, I accepted the apology but it was pointed out by Brumbob that I had not posted it on here. Thank you Bob for pointing out the technical error!.

From a story on the Independent newspaper's web site:

Members of the General Synod voted to back a motion brought by Metropolitan Police civilian worker Vasantha Gnanadoss calling on bishops to formulate a comparable policy to the Association of Chief Police Officers' ban on police membership of the BNP.

I say:
Brownie pointers are now not only infesting the top brass of our police force, but its civilian employees as well. I've been CofE since I was born & I went to a CofE school and (although I've never been christened), my family have been protestant for as far back as I can trace (circa late 1600's)*.

Well if this intimidation and indoctrination is what the church now represents, they can keep it. I've put up with their nonsense for long enough. An organisation that wants me to believe a man: turned water into wine, walked on water, feed 5000 people with just a couple of loaves and fishes etc. An organisation that believes god wrote a book that demands we stone: homosexuals, rebellious daughters, and anyone who works on a Sunday, then tells us to ignore it. An organisation that believes we should hand children over to homosexual couples for adoption. Well from now on I'm with Richard Dawkins, let's have separation of church and state (something I never thought I'd say).

*Although I have to say in all the surnames that have come up in my ancestral line: (Holdens, Richards, Davies, Tyler, Earps, Wrights, Johnsons, etc) I've never come across a Gnanadoss, I guess she must be from the Isle of Man!

Chris,
When I first joined the Army my RSM asked me what my religion was, after a moments thought I replied “Atheist, Sir”. That Sunday instead of getting it off, as I thought I would, he had me stood to attention outside the Church in my best (No 2’s) uniform. It threw it down and I got soaked through. After the service and before dismissing me he again asked me what my religion was, I replied “A very wet Atheist, Sir”. The next Sunday was a beautiful sunny day and I was stood to attention, in my number 2’s, outside the church, the RSM came along and asked why I wasn’t in church?, “Today Sir, I am a dry Atheist” was my reply.
He had me stood there every Sunday for the next 16 weeks and on the last Sunday asked if I’d learnt anything about religion?. I replied “Yes Sir, Soldiers can’t sing hymns, the service is too long and from here I can see your daughter sunbathing topless in your garden!”.
There is no significance to this anecdote, I simply refused to have a religion forced upon me when I didn’t want it. I cannot prove the existence of any God, to my satisfaction, so why should I lie?. To me all religions are the same, it’s a con designed to fleece as much money out of people as it can. That and be the cause of every major conflict in the world!.

Dear Cllr Oddy,

The state now seems to be using the official Church as a means of mind control. The Church I knew as a child would not have stood for that.

I've never actually believed in a traditional God (silly old man sitting on a cloud with angles flirting around his head), but like many I was willing to go along with their nonsense. Well no more.

Belief in any religion, like the belief in the benefits of multiculturalism, is for the gullible. Logic and free thought will show both up as an attempt, by the state, at mind control.
